Cardiff Harlequins took on the might of Cambridge this weekend in their second home game of the season. In what was a slow start to the match resulting in the first quarter score being 2-2, the harlequins then stepped up a gear going forward. The match was a hard fought game with penalties being served with both teams. However with determination and hard work, the boys managed to finish the match with a victory with the score ending 10-6. Congratulation go to Jacob for scoring his first goal with the club as well. Next week we shall be facing Hitchin Away.
In the first away game of the season Cardiff Harlequins travel to East Grinstead in what was found to be a physical and hard match to play. In a match where both teams ended up tired and bruised, Cardiff’s defence was on a strong point to with stand the attacking presence from East Grinstead in the last quarter to hold on to a vital 3 points and remain undefeated.
The Quins have kicked their lacrosse season off with a win against Reading in a 10-6 victory, the game was played in high spirits and was a hard fought game, with going into the 4th quarter all even. The Harlequins have started the season strong with a large turn out for pre-season training, with the summer nights drawing into a close the quins have been using whatever time to train and prepare for the upcoming season. If it being drills in Llandaff park or even using a wall for wall ball, the Quins have been practising.
